"A thousand threats - Many solutions - One conference" is the motto for the event.
EEMA presents their programme for the international Information Security Solutions Europe ISSE 2006: over 80 speakers from European and non-European institutions and companies will give presentations on current IT-Security-Technology topics in science, research and practice in Rome. The organisers expect more than 400 attendees from all over the world at the biggest independent security conference in Europe.
Bruce Schneier will present a keynote speech introducing ten trends of economic information security.
The topical subjects of the presentations revolve around benefits and risks of RFID and biometric processes, Smart Cards and Identity Management, Trusted Computing Technologies and Digital Rights Management (DRM). In addition to concrete case studies from the practical world applications will be presented and future scenarios will be drafted. Highlights of the conference programme will be a strategy oriented ENISA panel discussion on Bringing Security to the End User.
The speakers at the conference are Europe- and world-wide renowned researchers and experts from governmental institutions, well-known companies and universities such as Bart Preneel from KU Leuven. An accompanying exhibition, in which companies and organisations present their latest technologies, combines theoretical lectures and practical applications.
