Initiative for Open Authentication Membership now stands at 85 New Members and Includes Security Companies and End-User Organisations Dedicated to Shaping New Standards for Open Authentication.
OATH, the initiative for Open AuTHentication, announced a new milestone for membership with a total of 85 security companies and end user organisations actively participating in efforts for industry-backed standards for royalty-free open authentication. OATH is a consortium of leading device, platform and application companies, and end user customers of authentication technologies. The organisation has nearly doubled in membership since last summer and the recruitment of new members is ongoing.
New OATH members include: BioPassword, CITALA Ltd., MetaPass, msystems, Multi-Factor Authentication, Nordic Edge, Nth Factor, O2id, Pandorga Technologia, Quick Vault, and Savage Minds.
The Initiative for Open AuTHentication (OATH) is the industry's leading collaboration of device, platform and application companies, and end user customers of authentication technologies. OATH participants hope to foster use of strong authentication across networks, devices and applications. Participants work collectively to facilitate standards and build a reference architecture for open authentication while evangelising the benefits of strong interoperable authentication in a networked world. As OATH grows, the organisation is actively seeking feedback and technology contributions from end-user participants who share a common vision for open authentication technology and the products that provide this important measure of security.
