GeoTrust Europe, a player in identity verification solutions for e-business and an issuer of digital certificates for web security, has announced that Steve Roylance has joined GeoTrust Europe in the newly created position of Business Development Director.

Steve joins GeoTrust from UK based Comodo, and brings with him over 15 years' experience in the IT industry. As Business Development Director at GeoTrust, Steve will be responsible for building strategic partnerships in Europe and building GeoTrust's channel presence in new markets.

Steve spent three years at Comodo where he worked in senior management as a Technical Marketing Director. Prior to working at Comodo Steve gained experience of marketing and business development at ICL and Fujitsu Services in Amsterdam. Throughout his positions in the IT and security marketplace Steve has been responsible for establishing enterprise sales, product positioning and marketing, and high-level negotiations with key channel and alliance partners.

Since launching a direct European presence in 2003, GeoTrust Europe has quickly grown to become the number one SSL certificate provider in a number of countries, including the UK and Germany. It has also innovated new products and technology in the anti-phishing, secure document and mobile security markets and has a number of technology partnerships with industry leaders such as Microsoft, Adobe and Equifax.
