Bluesocket has announced the appointment of Ian Philip as Senior Director of Operations, EMEA. Ian will be responsible for all EMEA operations, including sales, technical and infrastructure, as well as marketing and is charged with expanding the channel and market reach of Bluesockets range of secure and managed wireless networking solutions.

Ian Philip has more than 30 years experience in global IT sales, business development and product management. Prior to joining Bluesocket, Ian spent the previous six years with Nokia Communications as regional manager for Western Europe responsible for building the channel and establishing the market for the first true network security appliance based on the Nokia platform running Check Point firewall/VPN applications. Prior to his departure from Nokia, Ian had expanded his reach to the Europe, Middle East and Africa theatre of operations responsible for building a corporate sales team and a Systems Integrator team across the EMEA region.
