Aladdin Knowledge Systems has announced broad multi-platform eToken& 729 PKI support with the release of eToken PKI Client 4.0 for Windows and eToken PKI Client 3.65 for Linux and Mac. Aladdin's systems enable PKI applications to generate and store private keys and digital certificates inside USB-based tokens.

eToken PKI Client 4.0 for Windows and 3.65 for Linux and Mac contain all PKI components and drivers necessary for integration with industry products based on industry standard APIs, including PKCS
11, Microsoft CAPI and Mac Keychain.

Product features:

• simple local token management - new end-user and administrator interfaces. A simple straight-forward tool is provided, in either simple or advanced modes, to answer day-to-day local token management needs
  
• enhanced security - token password quality settings are stored on the eToken smart card-based device, not on the PC
  
• lost token solution - a solution for exceptions, such as employee-on-the-road lost token scenarios, based on eToken Virtual, a new software-based virtual token that provides temporary secure access to organizational resources secured by eToken
  
• multilingual support - facilitates implementation throughout global, multinational organizations
  
• one-factor authentication support - provides organizations with the flexibility to allow their users to authenticate only with their token when appropriate

eToken PKI Client 4.0 is the first in the series of new releases to be introduced this year, eventually providing the same features and abilities to all supported platforms.
