SecureWave's Sanctuary technology has received Common Criteria (CC) certification at Evaluation Assurance Level (EAL) 2. Before receiving certification, SecureWave's Sanctuary completed an evaluation by SAIC, an independent laboratory that is accredited to the requirements of the ISO 15408 Common Criteria Standard for IT Security Evaluation.
Since 2000 SecureWave's Sanctuary has met the needs of enterprise customers with complex security challenges. Through the achievement of EAL 2, Sanctuary can now benefit the Department of Defence, government lettered agencies and other security conscious commercial enterprises, which are only permitted to purchase security products that receive the maximum assurance from Common Criteria guidelines. Following its successful evaluation, Sanctuary has been added to the internationally recognized Centralised Certified Product List. The EAL 2 registration number for Sanctuary is CCEVS-0084-06.
Sanctuary provides policy-based application and device control securing organisations from data threats, including data leakage, malware and spyware. By employing a whitelist approach, Sanctuary enables only authorised applications to run and only authorised devices to connect to a corporate network, laptop or PC. Granular policy rules enable SecureWave customers to enforce flexible device and application use policies, rather than simply prohibiting their use altogether. With Sanctuary, administrators can track all activities related devices and applications that are connected or executed on the corporate network, creating an audit trail that can be used to assure compliance with corporate and governmental privacy regulations.
[Congratulations to SecureWave - attaining this stage is not a walk in the park! As usual I want to draw readers' attention to the fact that any CC certification must be seen in the context of the Protection Profile used in the tests. --Ed].
