Top Layer Networks has announced Network Security Analyzer (NSA) v4.6. Top Layers Network Security Analyzer provides security event management, real-time alerting and reporting for users of the companys IPS 5500 intrusion prevention solution.
New features in the NSA 4.6 focus on advanced alerting, specialised classification capabilities, usability and management enhancements, and more robust reporting functionality:

Advanced Alerting - allows users to set alert correlation interval, severity of alerts, precedence and negation per alert rule, and pattern analysis based on filter expressions

Event Classification - allows a user to classify events based on each policy and apply what queries will be affected by the classification

Threat Level Classification - allows users to change the event severity of the threat level based on policies

Workbench Improvements - allows users to quickly drill down and filter on any event in real-time
