LogicaCMG, a UK IT services company, has announced its partnership with biometrics and passenger processing specialist Dartagnan, and with multi-modal and fusion experts WCC.
The partnership of the three companies will provide face, iris and fingerprint recognition capabilities that can be integrated into the complex and fast processes surrounding the monitoring of passenger and employee movements.
The ELISE Identity Matching platform from WCC will incorporate multiple biometric and biographic criteria and enables the partnership to offer multi-modal identity matching and fusion based searches. This will increase the security of the verification and identification elements of a biometrics-based identity system and enhance the enrolment verification process.
One successful biometric solution implemented by LogicaCMG and Dartagnan is the Privium scheme at Schiphol airport in Amsterdam. Privium provides automated fast-pass border control for business travellers and other frequent users. Privium membership has grown to more than 32,000 members with a current rate of more than 1,000 new members a month since its launch in October 2001. Building on past successes, LogicaCMG, Dartagnan and WCC will offer tailored solutions to other businesses across the world.
