Funkwerk Enterprise Communications (FEC) has increased its presence on the UK market by signing a distribution agreement with Northamber, the largest UK-owned, trade-only distributor of IT and communications equipment.

Northamber will distribute Funkwerk's range of professional networking and telecommunications solutions for voice and data convergence. With brands such as artem, bintec and elmeg the Funkwerk portfolio covers wireless LANs, IP-based routing, VPNs, Voice-over-IP and Voice-over-VPN (VoVPN), as well as highly integrated telecommunications systems that support analogue, digital and SIP based IP telephony.

Among the Funkwerk products that will initially be rolled out through Northamber resellers will be the bintec Rxxx series of IP routers for broadband Internet access and secure networking of remote sites, with a number of the devices offered with optional wireless LAN interfaces. Funkwerk has also expanded its range of professional WLAN products with the new Funkwerk W1002 and W2002 access points designed for complex WLAN and hot spot applications.
