Utimaco Safeware has made two new Plus product bundles available to new customers. The first, SafeGuard Easy Plus, combines file protection with disk encryption, and SafeGuard Plug & Play Plus provides additional protection for the data that can be stored on company approved Plug & Play devices.

SafeGuard Easy Plus protects the data on laptops and PCs when the device is in both power off and power on modes, as well as providing additional security for data on memory sticks. This is achieved by encrypting the entire hard disk and by means of a virtual safe which additionally provides protection for the most confidential files. If the virtual safe is stored on a memory stick the files can be securely read elsewhere.

SafeGuard Plug & Play Plus provides protection for the IT infrastructure and the data that flows within it. This is achieved through the use of central policy enforcement of authorised device and data types, combined with encryption of sensitive information. This enables the customer to control the data types that can be transferred to authorised Plug & Play devices (with unauthorised devices not registering on the Operating System). This data can be securely stored in a virtual safe that can be securely read elsewhere, even on devices that do not have encryption software installed.
