PatchLink Corporation, a patch and vulnerability management company, has announced the appointment of Patrick Clawson as Chairman, CEO and President. Mr. Clawson, formerly Chairman and CEO of CyberGuard Corporation, is tasked with driving the next wave of growth for the company. Greg Head, the interim President, will continue as the companys Senior Vice President of Marketing.

Prior to joining PatchLink, Mr. Clawson served as Chairman and CEO of CyberGuard, a security software company he successfully grew and which was recently acquired by Secure Computing for 295 million. Mr. Clawson developed and implemented a global distribution strategy that catapulted CyberGuard to record breaking revenue growth and two consecutive years of profitability. He also spearheaded the launch of new technologies and oversaw the integration of four acquisitions across the globe.

Prior to CyberGuard, Mr. Clawson served as Senior Vice President of Business Development at Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, a provider of clinical software and information systems for doctors. Prior to that, Mr. Clawson was Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at MasterChart, a health information technology company. Immediately before joining MasterChart, Mr. Clawson was Senior Director for the Southeastern U.S. at Reynolds' and Reynolds' Healthcare Systems, where he was responsible for sales and marketing for the company's Unix-based appliances.

He began his career with Lanier Worldwide, Inc., where he served in a number of management positions in the U.S. and Australia that leveraged his strengths in international sales, marketing and operations.
