WatchGuard Technologies, Inc. has released a UTM hardware and security services package for small- to medium-sized businesses. The new offering, based on the recently introduced Firebox X Core e-Series, helps eliminate the time and hassle associated with deploying multiple security solutions by combining components that work cooperatively together.

The UTM bundle combines WatchGuards flagship Firebox X Core e-Series UTM appliance with the companys security services, which include Gateway AntiVirus/Intrusion Prevention with anti-spyware, spamBlocker, WebBlocker and LiveSecurity support. By offering a packaged solution set, WatchGuard is making it easier for resellers to provide their customers with more complete protection from the varied and pernicious threats coursing across the Internet today. End-users will also benefit as the deployment of multiple security services is made much easier, now only requiring a single license.
