26 Jul 12:44

KPMG has announced the arrival of Marcus Alldrick as a principal advisor specialising in information security.

Prior to joining KPMG, Marcus was head of information security at retail bank Abbey for six years, having previously spent seven years at Barclaycard as its information risk and security manager.

Marcus joins KPMGs client-side advisory business, which currently employs some 1400 people in the UK and is set to grow in size by some 25-30 percent over the next twelve months.

Says head of KPMGs information security business, Malcolm Marshall: Information security is an increasingly complex area of risk for many businesses. We are delighted that Marcus with his wealth of knowledge and experience in this area has chosen to join us to help our clients minimise those very real risks.

Malcolm concludes: Marcus will be working with clients on hot spot issues such as identity and access management and vulnerability management defining and advising on implementation of processes which are key to success.
[I guess congratulations are in order here, so congratulations to KPMG for netting one of the most experienced people in the field! --Ed].
