Magnus Kalkuhl Joins Kaspersky

Magnus Kalkuhl has become the newest member of Kaspersky Labs international team of virus analysts. Magnus, 31, joins the staff of the company's German office and his responsibilities will include monitoring the virus situation in Germany, as well as investigating network incidents.

Magnus will focus his efforts at Kaspersky Lab on research and the preparation of analytical papers, as well as liaising with independent research institutions. He will work in close collaboration with virus experts from the Russian Federation, Romania, Great Britain, France, the US and the Netherlands.

Before joining Kaspersky Lab, Magnus worked as an independent consultant in IT security, and as a technical manager of international projects. His clients included Daimler Chrysler and Volkswagen.

Magnus began his career in the IT industry as an editor at PC Player magazine (DMV/Franzis Verlag Publishers). From 1999 to 2001 he worked as a developer in the interactive department (Zentropy Partners, now MRM Partners) of McCann Erickson, and later as technical director of projects for a number of high profile clients, such as MasterCard, L'OREAL Paris and Unilever.
