McAfee Appoints Richard J Decker CIO

McAfee, Inc. has appointed Richard J. Decker to the position of chief information officer. In this role, Decker will be responsible for the worldwide management and implementation of the companys information technology and infrastructure. Decker will report to Gene Hodges, president of McAfee.

Decker joins McAfee from Mentor Graphics, an electronic design automation software company, where he held the CIO position for over seven years. Prior to that, Decker was the CIO for the Measurex business at Honeywell, a process control company, and Foster Farms, a consumer food products company, between 1994 and 1997. He also served six years as the vice president of MIS/CIO at Micropolis Corporation, a disk drive firm. Decker has also held senior level IT positions at Pepsi-Cola and Automatic Data Processing.

Decker received an M.S. and a B.S. in Computer Science, both from the Stevens Institute of Technology.
