Prior to joining Sendmail, Ms. Bargero was co-founder of Reconnex Corporation, an enterprise risk management company offering content-monitoring solutions. While at Reconnex, she drove the establishment of the Reconnex Insider Threat Index - the largest compilation of data gathered to assess the severity of the insider threat lurking inside global Fortune 1000 corporations. Prior to Reconnex, Ms. Bargero was founder and president of Power Marketing Services, a strategic consulting firm that specialised in developing marketing strategies for information security companies, such as IBM and VeriSign. Previously, she held product management roles at RSA Security and Compaq Computer Corporation where she helped launch a number of security solutions. Throughout her career, Ms. Bargero has authored numerous papers and articles, and has been responsible for co-inventing new technologies.
"It is an exciting time to join Sendmail," said Bargero. "Communications have changed dramatically since the introduction of sendmail - the world's first Internet messaging server - 25 years ago. Now, it is estimated that one in five emails contains a legal or financial regulatory risk. Sendmail can prevent these risks from impacting customers' valuable brands, positioning the company to address the leading market drivers in the growing information security industry."
